Nevada’s Small Business Triumph: A Recap of the Unforgettable Panel Discussion and Momentus Recognition

In a remarkable event that took place on January 11, 2024, at the International Innovation Center, the Nevada Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) came together with Nadya Rousseau of Alter New Media to host a panel discussion that will be remembered as a pivotal moment for the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. This gathering celebrated the team’s exceptional efforts and involvement during Global Entrepreneurship Week 2023 and marked a significant milestone for Nevada’s small business community.  Networking Opportunities

Entrepreneurs, business enthusiasts, and professionals from various sectors gathered under one roof, creating an environment ripe for collaboration and connection. Attendees had the chance to interact with panelists, share ideas, and forge valuable relationships that can be instrumental in their entrepreneurial journeys.

A Stellar Panel Discussion

One of the day’s highlights was undoubtedly the panel discussion titled “The Importance of Small Business in Nevada.” Led by the dynamic Nadya Rousseau, the conversation was enlightening and thought-provoking. The panel featured an all-star lineup of experts and successful entrepreneurs who have left an indelible mark on Nevada’s small business landscape.

Recapping Our Distinguished Panelists

  1.  Lt. Governor Stavros Anthony shared his wisdom about Nevada’s small business and entrepreneurial landscape, the business-friendly nature of Nevada, and the history of various districts and neighborhoods throughout Las Vegas.
  2. Megan Buckley (Titan) shared her invaluable insights into business growth and scaling, drawing from her extensive experience.
  3. Elias Benjelloun (Nevada Partners, Inc. Tech Start) deeply understood Nevada’s business ecosystem and its impact on community development.
  4. Brandon Mills (Total Promotion Companyshared an inspirational journey in promotional marketing, showcasing how determination can carve a niche in a competitive industry.
  5. Lisa Song Sutton (The Veteran Fund) highlighted the intersection of business and social impact through her support for veterans in entrepreneurship.
  6. Madisen Saglibene (Pizza Stone’d Food Truck) demonstrated the boundless opportunities for culinary entrepreneurs in the food industry and being a pioneer in the Vegas cannabis space.
  7. Ikram Mansori (Vets inTech) shed light on the diverse opportunities available in entrepreneurship, particularly in the technology sector.

     

Lt. Governor Stavros Anthony Presents Certificates of Recognition

The day began with a momentous recognition as Lt. Governor Stavros Anthony presented Certificates of Recognition to the GEW crew. This acknowledgment was a testament to their outstanding contributions during Global Entrepreneurship Week 2023. With the certificates in hand, the GEW crew stood proud, knowing their dedication had not gone unnoticed.

Certificate of Recognition recipients include the individuals and organizations who played a pivotal role in Global Entrepreneurship Week for Las Vegas, Nevada. Recipients include  Dave Burlin of Dave Means Business, who was the main team builder and the Nevada community organizer,  Lauren Jones and Nadya Rousseau, who did event press and community organizing from our very own marketing and PR firm Alter New Media, Ben Laifsky who created the website and participated in community organizing of Hunter Marketing, Tyler Gallo and Taylor Goodyearof Social Exchange Group,  who organized spaces for events to be held and brought entrepreneurs together, Elias Benjelloun and Suriel Cruz of Osuro Creations who worked on the live video/ and podcast videos, and imagery deserve special recognition for their contributions.

Announcement of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2024 Dates

In addition to the recognition, the event served as the platform for an exciting announcement. Attendees were thrilled to learn the official dates for Global Entrepreneurship Week in November 2024(November 18-24, 2024). This early revelation provides ample time for entrepreneurs and enthusiasts to prepare for what promises to be an even more spectacular celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship.
