Last night, the atmosphere at Taverna Costera was nothing short of electric as business owners, entrepreneurs, and genuine human beings from the WC Network gathered for a unique social networking pop-up event in Las Vegas. Hosted by WRLDCLSS Events, this gathering was an incredible opportunity for meaningful connections, inspiring conversations, and enjoying some fantastic food. For someone like me, who thrives on the energy of connecting with like-minded individuals, this event was the perfect way to build relationships and share ideas.
The Event: Inspiring Speakers and Genuine Connections Through Intentional Networking
The evening was expertly hosted by Keenan Bathan of WRLDCLSS Events, whose vibrant energy set the tone. Keenan’s knack for bringing people together and creating an environment where authentic connections could flourish was on display. His opening remarks emphasized the importance of community, collaboration, and the power of intentional networking—core values that resonate deeply with our mission at Alter New Media.
Pastor RC Simon was the MC for the night, asking the hard-hitting questions. He is also an entrepreneur and delivered an inspiring message about faith and leadership, a metaphorical speech on tending to one’s spiritual garden to avoid attracting snakes, and entrepreneurship. His words were a powerful reminder that our work is not just about making a profit but about making a positive impact in the lives of others. RC’s entrepreneurial journey, deeply rooted in his faith, offered spiritual and practical guidance, motivating everyone to lead with integrity and purpose. Pastor RC has always believed in Keenan since day one and accompanies him on the journey.
One of the night’s highlights was hearing from Ron Woods, a prominent Realtor. Ron shared valuable insights into the real estate market and the critical role that personal branding plays in building a successful business. His emphasis on adaptability and staying true to one’s passions, drawn from his experiences in the competitive real estate industry, struck a chord with many in the room.
We also heard from Ella Dumo, the owner of Cobalt Clean Las Vegas. Ella’s story of building a successful cleaning business from the ground up was a testament to the power of resilience and determination. She candidly shared her challenges as a female entrepreneur in a competitive industry and how she overcame them through hard work, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. Her journey provided valuable lessons on perseverance and maintaining high standards in business, making her talk one of the most impactful of the evening.
Another engaging speaker was Robert Chhuth, AKA DJ Giga Hurtz, with Vitality Plus+ PR. DJ Giga Hurtz brought a unique perspective to the event, combining his music background and public relations expertise. He spoke passionately about the importance of creativity and authenticity in one’s work, highlighting how these qualities can set individuals apart in any industry. His talk resonated particularly with those who balance multiple interests and careers, showcasing the power of blending passion with professionalism. He emphasized the need for public relations and continued to build a PR profile to showcase authority.
The Food: A Culinary Experience to Remember
After the inspiring talks, it was time to enjoy the culinary delights that Taverna Costera offered. I couldn’t resist trying the Taverna Tapas Platter, a delightful mix of flavors and textures that perfectly complemented the evening’s vibe. Here’s a quick rundown of what I enjoyed:
- Lollipop Wings: These were the highlight of the platter. The wings were perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I had a choice of sauces and opted for something with a bit of a kick, which added just the right amount of heat to the savory goodness of the wings.
- Beet Hummus: The beet hummus was a vibrant, earthy addition to the platter. Its creamy texture paired wonderfully with the fresh Pita Bread, creating a satisfying combination that was both light and flavorful.
- Avocado Bruschetta: The avocado bruschetta was another standout. The ripe avocado, combined with the freshness of the bruschetta topping, made for a refreshing bite that was tasteful to the plate.
- Fried Brussels Sprouts: I’ve always enjoyed Brussels sprouts, and these didn’t disappoint. Fried to perfection, they were crispy and flavorful, a great contrast to the softer textures of the hummus and avocado from the Bruschetta.
This platter was the perfect choice for a night like this—each bite was an experience in itself, and it kept me fueled for the engaging conversations that filled the evening.
A Night to Remember
As the night progressed, it became clear that this event was more than another networking opportunity. The speakers brought a wealth of knowledge and inspiration, but what truly made the evening special was the community that developed among the attendees. It wasn’t just about listening to the speakers; it was about engaging with each other, sharing our stories, and finding common ground in our journeys.
Ultimately, it wasn’t just the food or the venue that made the night memorable—it was the people (Taverna Costera staff and event attendees). Through WRLDCLSS Events, the WC Network brought together individuals who were passionate about their businesses and making meaningful connections. And that’s what makes events like this so valuable.
Nadya and I left Taverna Costera feeling inspired and grateful for the new connections I made and the old ones we strengthened. The social networking pop-up was a night of great food, genuine conversations, and a reminder of the community’s power in business and life. If you ever have the chance to attend a WC Network event, we highly recommend it—you won’t just leave with a stack of business cards; you’ll leave with new friends and a renewed sense of purpose.
